"O-wimp-ics"

Films: Fatal Games (1984)

Alias: Diane Paine

Type: Natural

Location: Haunted home

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: The Olympics are perhaps the most coveted ceremonies celebrating the true strength of every man and woman. Many would do anything to get into them. Perhaps even kill...

History: Long ago, Diane Paine was desperate to gain fame from her javelin-throwing skills in the Olympics. But she was caught trying to undergo a sex change, and was henceforth disqualified. Now, she works as a bitter nurse at the local Falcon Academy of Athletics. Pretty soon, several students are dropping dead due to a mysterious cloaked javelin-throwing killer. Who could it be?

Notable Kills: At one point, she ambushes a girl with a javelin in the pool, complete with scuba gear!

Final Fate: After her identity as the killer is revealed, Diane chases the survivors up a tall structure before being pushed off. She is impaled by the convenient trophy below.

Powers/Abilities: Can throw a javelin with deadly accuracy...or whenever the plot demands accuracy.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 3-A limited, if creative, arsenal doesn't quite make Diane here as menacing as other killers. Still, you'll probably stick to other Olympic games after this. Ones that don't involve glorified spear throwing, of course.

Trivia: -Diane was played by Sally Kirkland, who was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress after her role in "Anna" (1987).

-The art of javelin throwing started as an art of war, and it received its namesake from Ancient Egyptian armies as a lighter variation of the spear. Even after the Ancient Greeks adopted it as an Olympic game, it spread across cultures as an effective weapon.
